What people are saying about Jan Megee:

Brady Pringle, former Tulsa City Councilor, District 9:

" I urge you to vote for Jan Megee for State Senate. Jan is a competent, level-headed, hard-working person who puts the interest of others ahead of her own. Jan is the kind of selfless leader we need in politics today."

Clay Bird, former Tulsa City Councilor,
District 7:

"Jan Megee is a person of the highest degree of integrity; she is committed to her faith, family and community. She is a person of principle and conviction but always fair and ever willing to give a person her ear. The citizens of District 37 could do no better than to elect Jan to be their state senator. Character, conviction and compassion, that's what I think of when I think of Jan Megee."

Currently, Jan Megee is an Administrative Aide for the Tulsa City Council, working to solve problems for the constituents in her Councilors' districts.  She has also served as Secretary of the Council, Liaison between the Council and the State Legislature, Legislative/Public Safety Committee Coordinator, Public Works Committee Coordinator, and as a Board Member for Tulsa Global Alliance - helping to forge better relationships between Tulsa and its many Sister Cities around the world.

Megee has been a City of Tulsa employee since 1984. Prior to her work for the Tulsa City Council, she held positions in both the Public Works and Human Resources Departments.  She was a founding member and past President of the City's Office/Technical Employee Association.  She served on the Mayor's Blue Ribbon Panel on City Revenues.  She knows how government should work, and will apply that knowledge and the skills she has acquired to help the residents of Senate District 37.

Originally from California, Jan and her family traveled often in search of a better future.  Those travels took Jan around the states of California, Oregon, and Oklahoma.  Her early childhood years were filled with hardship.  The experiences the family had along the way taught Jan that honesty, hard work, and diligence are keys to success.  They also instilled in her a belief that a deep faith and trust in God is essential.

Jan Megee was graduated from Daniel Webster High School, and then attended Draughon Business School and Tulsa Community College, where she earned a degree in Political Science.

She has been an active member of View Acres Baptist Church for almost 20 years, where she served on various committees. Jan and her husband, Mike, have been attending Church on the Move in Tulsa recently.

Thankful for her accomplishments in life, Jan Megee is now ready for her next professional task:  To do everything she can to assist the residents of Senate District 37 and the State of Oklahoma by winning in 2008!
